I feel like Underwater Peoples is always “killing it” with their releases. They recently dropped La Big Vic‘s super impressive Actually, Julian Lynch‘s Terra and coming up next is Speculator‘s NICE LP (oh my god) and Jim Ferraro‘s (a James Ferraro project) On Air, which was originally released on OESB but is getting remastered, sometimes re-recorded and with a few new additional tracks. According to ROSE QUARTZ and UP this Jim Ferraro record is going to materialize in some kind of deluxe LP/tape form on June 3rd.
La Big Vic, “Musica” by The FADER
La Big Vic is the project of Emilie Friedlander (of Altered Zones/Visitation Rites fame), Peter Pearson and Toshio Masuda. I really dig this track Musica because of Emilie’s violin and the jam-out to the conclusion of the song.
I saw Julian Lynch for the first (and only time unfortunately) at the Underwater Peoples Fest at Shea Stadium some summer ago, and it pretty much blew my mind how talented he is. I also think I remember Julian making bank on the wine he was selling (#swag #swag #swag)
