COME BACK
I wanted to make a post about lotus plaza since bleary eyed posted up these live videos from the LP glasslands show but never got around to it because of school. I did, however, pick up the 10″ that she discussed in her post – and man, is it something magical. If you want to pick up the 10″ you can get it here – it’s a split between lotus plaza and nice weekend, a band he started with his fiancĂ©e Shayda Yavari.
Eveningness:
MIAMI
This song is definitely pretty dark. I’m getting pretty literal here but to be honest I think this particular song would have made for a better into to the newer miami vice film with colin farrell and jamie foxx than this linkin park/jay-z mash-up (haha). Too bad we can’t go back in time bearing .mp3s from the future…
BACK TO ME
Whoa dudes, talk about SMOOTH! Back To Me by Manuel Tur really makes me want to hit up some clubs. I really like house music, so I can help but gravitate toward these tunes.
I also posted some relevant manny tur youtube vids below:
ONRA
Onra is a french producer, he’s got a bunch of tracks floating around the net but below are a few selections.
Onra: The Anthem
Onra: No Matter What
Onra: Send Me Your Love
BLACK CAR

Lux is super 90′s indie and I love it – they are from seattle and it’s evident their influences spawned from the environment they’ve surrounded themselves in. Apparently this cover is a bonus track off of their debut LP “We Are Not The Same” which you can also check out below. One thing that’s killing me is that I know I’ve heard The Window somewhere before and I totally cannot remember where! Isn’t that the most annoying thing.
GREEN SEA
Dont know much at all about Fear of Men other than the fact that gorilla vs bear featured them on one of his xm radio shows and the fact that they’ve got a limited 7″ dropping on June 18th on Sexbeat Records – and man, I’m really digging:
KAREEM ABDUL JABBAR JR.
SELA
In addition to those Lone tracks I’ve been bumpin, I’ve also had some of these SELA tracks on repeat. I remember seeing some of SELA’s work on RQ not too long ago, but I picked up these tracks from Prefix Mag where I read this rad interview on the 18 year old bedroom artist.
I’m super addicted to Scandalous:
“Men have Secrets, But No Mystery” also has some pretty hot beats:
