Novak Djokovic beat Taylor Fritz 6-3, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 to reach a record 53rd Grand Slam semifinal at the US Open. Fritz went 2-for-13 on break points and double-faulted on match point. Djokovic will face Carlos Alcaraz, who has not dropped a set, in a Friday semifinal. The American men’s major title drought since 2003 continues.
