Really vibing on this latest type records release titled The Black Mill Tapes (Volumes I & II) by Pye Corner Audio, which are a collection of obscure club records. Type got it right – these recordings no doubt bring to mind driving through a desert for long hours at night.
As stated by Type, “[The Black Mill Tapes Volumes 1 & 2] were originally released by the Technician himself, and have been picked up for a very special vinyl release. These collect up the first handfuls of tracks from the Pye Corner Audio vaults, and are a perfect introduction to the Head Technician’s fuzzy Radiophonic funk.”
I couldn’t agree more. Some favorites include We Have Visitors, Folk Festival, and Electronic Rhythm Number Three.
