I was born when she kissed me. I died when she left me. I lived a few weeks while she loved me.

Arc creates music that would score the dark moments in film noir-the type of film using German inspired cinematography to highlight themes of fear, mistrust, bleakness, loss of innocence, despair and paranoia-many of these films revolving around the love for a woman.

Revenge City is a dark, electronic track by Providences’ Arc, and it will be on his upcoming album dropping on AMDISCS next year. You may also remember his cover of Francoise Hardys’ Tous les Garçons et les Filles which was posted not too long ago.

THE VAMPIRE SQUID

Vampyroteuthis infernalis-also known as the vampire squid-is gelatinous in form, the only squid known to have tooth-like spikes on its’ arms to capture its’ prey, and covered in photophores. Photophores are light-producing organs, giving the squid the ability to become completely invisible in the dark abyss in which it lives, at depths up to about 900 meters. Any SCUBA diver will tell you visible white light is non-existent at around 100 meters, the recreational depth limit for a human diver is about 40 meters, it is safe to assume that the vampire squid has lived without interaction from humans since the beginning of time.

Tous Les Garçons et les Fille is a cover of the famous Françoise Hardy track from the 1960s by avant experimental artist Arc. The prominent bass resemble the intense pressure of the deep, and the muffled vocals represent the disorientation with how a diver might feel from diving too deep.
