    IN A LONELY PLACE

I was born when she kissed me. I died when she left me. I lived a few weeks while she loved me.

Arc creates music that would score the dark moments in film noir-the type of film using German inspired cinematography to highlight themes of fear, mistrust, bleakness, loss of innocence, despair and paranoia-many of these films revolving around the love for a woman.

Revenge City is a dark, electronic track by Providences’ Arc, and it will be on his upcoming album dropping on AMDISCS next year. You may also remember his cover of Francoise Hardys’ Tous les Garçons et les Filles which was posted not too long ago.

    INDIE ARTS FEST 2010

HEY BANDS: This would be a good place to preform if your going to be in the Rhode Island area during late July. I went last year and had a pretty good time.

The annual IndieArts Festival celebrates independently produced art, digital media, music, performance and locally-sourced goods and products. The festival infuses downtown Providence with an eclectic mix of live music, DJs, burlesque, spoken word, experimental dance, & film on three different stages in the Bank of America Skating Center & Burnside Park at Kennedy Plaza in Downtown Providence.

    ATTENTION BANDS:

Submit links to 2-3 high quality MP3s to indieartsfestpvd[at]gmail[dotcom] for consideration in this years’ festival line up.

    ARTISTS, CRAFTERS, ARTISANS:

The Arts Exchange is a marketplace offering artwork, locally-designed jewelry, clothing, accessories, silk-screened posters and T-shirts, handmade crafts, cards, prints, vinyl records, compact discs, vintage clothing, eyeglasses, jewelry, books, etc. This is an open arts event; all art & craft work must be of your own creation, no mass-produced work will be accepted.

Vendor Early Registration: (March 15 - May 21, 2010) $50 (inclusion in special full-page pull-out in ProvidencePhoenix) After May 21, 2010: $75 Last day for late registration: July 2, 2010. No other registrations accepted after this date.

Click here to register, to download a vendor application and for more information.

I finally got a chance to see Liz Isenberg live when she played at my university this previous friday night. It was a very small show, I think there were only maybe 10 people or so there, it was put together last minute as so I have heard. I prefer smaller shows because they always seem more personal. I really enjoyed her set, and was able to pick up a copy of her CD for 10 bucks. If you haven’t given her a listen yet, I highly suggest you do. View high resolution
